Prince Charles meets students

Wednesday 4 December 2013

HRH Prince Charles took time to chat to several Bedford College students on his walkabout in town on Tuesday December 3rd.

Business students took photos on their smart phones and chatted to the Prince about Bedford.

Earlier the Prince had visited The Higgins Bedford Museum and met with local business representatives, such as John White of town centre store Boots and Neil Gorrod of JD Wetherspoon pubs. John is a new Board member of the BedfordBID and Neil is one of the Portas Town Team, both of which are organisations backed by Bedford College.

Of course Prince Charles is no stranger to the wonders of Bedford College students. He has previously visited a garden designed by Shuttleworth College horticultural students at the Ideal Home Show. Students have again been selected to exhibit at the event, which will be staged in March 2014. The competition is run in association with the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community.
