Bedford College has hosted a warm-up for the World Skills IT Networking competition to be held in Brazil.

The activity was designed to give national squad candidates the chance to work in the very best high tech environment – the CISCO lab within the college tower block.

Bedford College won praise from national trainer Kevin Large who said: “Bedford College has one of the best equipped CISCO labs I have seen, and believe me I've seen dozens all around the UK, this means the competitors will be able to work under full test conditions using CISCO equipment identical to what they will see at WorldSkills 2015 Sao Paulo, Brazil.”

Bedford College’s very own IT Networking champ Oliver Davis is working his way toward the chance to compete in the WorldSkills event in Abu Dhabi in 2017. He flew the flag for Bedfordshire at the Skills Show in Birmingham in 2014 and won a bronze medal.
