A to Z in farming

Friday 10 July 2015

Shuttleworth College continues to train young people for careers in agricultural all over the UK and the world.

On August 20th from 12 noon - 7pm potential students can find out about careers from arboriculture to zoology at the Old Warden Park estate location.

Director Mike Johnston said: "The open day is to show potential students from surrounding districts our internationally recognised outdoor-learning college right on their doorstep."

Recently Shuttleworth College was visited by the Archbishop of Canterbury and prior to that by Jamie Oliver and his TV crew. A donation made by Jamie enabled Shuttleworth to buy a Red Poll Bull Zulu who has since sired a herd of the prize cattle.

*A Government announcement about cut backs in farming in schools has NOT affected the 16+ Shuttleworth College which offers courses linked closely to careers in agricultural.
