Showtime for Apprenticeship employers

Leading employers of apprentices, who work with Bedford College, met young people to talk about job prospects.

The showcase was staged at the Harpur Suite, prior to the March 5th’s Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony which was among the first to be staged in the UK.

During the day employers met pupils from schools in Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford as well as Herts and Cambs to discuss career choices.

The employers included Axis Electronics, Atlas Converting Equipment, the Automated Technology Group (ATG), Vauxhall Motors, Hayward Tyler, Bourns Ltd, Cranfield Precision, Central Pharma, Lockheed Martin, Hybrid Vehicles and Bloor Homes.

                                         

Bedford College Business Development Manager Gina Bubbins, who leads the team who work closely with employers said: “We are here to help employers make the most of the Government backed apprenticeships schemes. Bedford has been recognised as a success story in this area.”
