EU and farming

Tuesday 8 March 2016

Farming and Europe will be the theme of the lecture at Shuttleworth College on 21 March, organised by the East of England Agricultural Society.

The setting is very apt, as Shuttleworth College has trained young people to go forth and farm around the globe. The pending In-Out Referendum for Europe is important to farming businesses in Bedfordshire.

The speaker for the evening will be John Shropshine, CEO of G’s Growers Ltd, who will give an insight into their pan-European business.

Open to all, the event will be staged in the Lecture Theatre at Shuttleworth College. Register with the East of England organisation or ring 01733 234451

Director of Shuttleworth College, Mike Johnston, said: “We are delighted to be hosting this event which will be very topical given the forthcoming EU referendum and the implications for the future of farming careers for our students.”
