This course is designed for any person employed in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is or will be required to operate wood chippers. On successful completion of this course, you will receive an NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of a Manually Fed Wood Chipper from City & Guilds

Outcomes

1. Know the health and safety requirements for operating a wood-chipper 

2. Be able to carry out a risk assessment on a site

3. Be able to prepare the equipment and site for wood-chipping operations

4. Be able to operate a wood-chipper

5. Carry out maintenance on a wood-chipper
