Infrastructure Technician Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3

This apprenticeship combines classroom training with online activities, one-on-one support and experience at work to develop your IT trouble shooting skills. You’ll achieve recognised industry qualifications on networking and hardware, mobile and operating systems, cloud services, business processes and programming.

Five GCSEs 9-4 or A-C in English, maths, science, technology plus one other subject or
a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeships or
other relevant qualifications and experience or
an aptitude test with a focus on IT Skills
Course content
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
- Cisco IT Essentials OR Cisco CCNA 1
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security +
- ITIL Foundation Version 4
- BCS Knowledge Module 3: Cloud Services
- BCS Knowledge Module 4: Coding and Logic
Assessment methods
Knowledge Module qualifications are exam assessed through an online exam. These will be multiple choice.
A portfolio of workplace evidence is to be created throughout the duration of the apprenticeship
A synoptic project
An end point assessment (interview) with the British Computing Society
