Health & Safety in the Workplace CIEH Level 2 Award

Gain a certificate in the principles of good health and safety practice, recognised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). This course will enable you to acquire basic competencies for emergency first aid situations, and gain certification for increased workplace or office safety.

Anyone who wants to understand the basic principles of good health and safety practice in the workplace.

Course content

During this course you will cover topics including:

  • General health and safety
  • A safe and healthy workplace
  • Occupational health
  • Accidents
  • Manual handling
  • Work equipment
  • Fire safety
  • Electricity
  • First Aid
  • Legislation

Assessment methods

The assessment for the programme is included within the six-hour programme and consists of 30 multiple choice questions.

Further study and career options

You will be able to progress on to the four day First Aid at Work HSE approved course.
