Bridal Hair City & Guilds Level 3 Award

This is a creative qualification that is designed to develop your hair up skills, allowing you to gain extensive knowledge of both classic and contemporary bridal looks. During the course you will be encouraged to develop your own hair up portfolio using models and blocks. You will also cover the theory element of hair up which will be delivered over the duration of the course and assessed online This is a student-focused course that will be tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that your creative skills and knowledge will be expanded to maximum effect.

Entry requirements

This course requires a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing, or evidence in studying at Level 2 in the hair industry.

Course content

During the course you will focus on a variety of hair up techniques such as rolls, twists, knots, plaits, curls and woven effects. The theory element of the course will expand your underpinning knowledge of hair up, and the products used to create and hold different looks.

Assessment methods

Practical skills will be observed by a trained assessor in a non-obtrusive manner. A theory test will be taken online upon the completion of the theory element of the course.

Further study and career options

Upon completion of this course you could pursue further Level 3 awards in Hairdressing, or you could work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing.

Additional information

You will be required to wear plain black and white trousers and top. All shoes are to be fully enclosed for health and safety purposes
