Massage Therapies City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate
This course will provide you with a professional, industry-recognised City & Guilds qualification, making this course ideal if you wish to have a career in massage with a holistic approach to therapies. The course is also ideal if only want to commit to a year of training before entering the workplace.
Entry requirements
To begin this course will need to have achieved a Beauty Therapy Level 2 qualification, or four GCSEs at grade C or above, one of which must be in English (other full Level 2 courses could be considered but need to be reviewed).
Course content
During the course you can study a range of topics, including:
- Monitoring Health & Safety
- Promoting & Selling products
- Stone therapy
- Massage with pre-blended Aromatherapy oils
- Indian head massage
- Swedish massage
Assessment methods
There will be practical assessments on clients assessed by the tutor, and online multiple choice theory assessments per unit throughout the year.
Further study and career options
After successfully completing this course you could progress on to further full-time and part-time courses in a related subject. This course will also prepare you for employment in a variety of roles, including work in salons, spas and self-employment.

To take part in this course you will be required to purchase a uniform (£41.60) and kit (£69.80).
Pay by instalments
The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 7 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
