Advice & Guidance NVQ Level 3 Certificate
This qualification is suitable for those who undertake advice and guidance activities working directly with clients, disseminating information, advice and guidance. Candidates will be working with information that is often interpreted by others, usually working within some clear guidelines. This is a work orientated qualification designed to benchmark the level and work standard of the candidate. The course gives candidates a clear understanding of their responsibilities within their role. The qualification is developed free from barriers that restrict access or progression thereby promoting equal opportunities.

You must be working directly with clients.
Course content
A minimum of 21 credits are required overall for completion of this qualification. 12 credits must come from the mandatory units and 9 credits from three optional units.
Mandatory units (credit value: 12)
- Establishing communication with clients for advice and guidance (3 credits)
- Supporting clients to make use of the advice and guidance service (3 credits)
- Reviewing own contribution to service (3 credits)
- Understanding the importance of legislation and procedures (3 credits)
Nine credits must also be completed from three optional units (3 credits needed at Level 3). Your NVQ Assessor will help you choose the units most appropriate to your job role.
Further study and career options
Successful candidates may progress on to the Level 4 Diploma in Advice and Guidance.
